I still remember Roger Fleming accepting the American Legion award for Robert at 8th grade graduation just before he passed away. The medal is now a part of his grave foot marker designed by his big brother for him. He was a great guy and taken too soon.
Debbie Gonzales and I spent many days sitting at Robert's grave. I still go by every now and then as I go and visit my brother's grave a few sections over.
